Visitor Management

UUNGUU

Nowadays we have lots of visitors to our Country. Under our traditional Wanjina Wunggurr law and customs, visitors had to seek permission to visit another graa’s (family group’s) country.

In the modern context, permission and welcome are granted through our Uunguu Visitor Pass (UVP).

We have developed the Uunguu Visitor Management Plan as a communal need to know who is on Country and to manage visitors to our lands and cultural places. We are obligated by our ancestors and future generations to keep our Country’s natural and cultural assets intact.

Our goal is that all visitors are respectful of our culture, our assets, traditional law and customs, and that they have an inspiring Uunguu Experience on our Country.
